Our Mission

We believe that parents/caregivers are the experts and the therapeutic process is an opportunity to help empower caregivers to make healthy changes that will support and strengthen the family's social emotional development, which we believe, is the foundation for growth and healing.
We give priority to expectant families up to the age of one.

Forever Gratitude:

The Infant Parent Center was created in 2008 with great love and commitment by Infant Mental Health Pioneer Ronald Henke, Alison Gardey and Jennifer Kalsbeek.

As many know Ron created most of the children’s services in El Dorado County with serving and training for over 40 years. He is greatly missed and his mission continues to carry on with many therapists, social workers and teachers throughout the United States.

Alison Gardey provided her beautiful style to families for over 20 years through the non-profit arena. She used her time to not only provide specialized therapy but also advocate for families and young children. She continues to carry on her great work in her private practice.
